Posted on Tue Jan 12, 2010ACMA Warns Of Real Estate Spam
Beware should you receive any unsolicited e-mails regarding real estate affairs. The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has rebuked Elders Real Estate in Wollongong, Australia for sending electronic spam messages, without the option to unsubscribe. The company was apparently warned previously against distributing this type of spam, in 2009 when the ACMA wrote letters to leading real estate agents clarifying the laws behind unsolicited advertising. This is the first execution of the proposition since 2009.
