Still Waiting For Canadian Anti-Spam Bill
Canada's anti-spam bill, Bill C-27-the Electronic Commerce Protection Act--was introduced last spring and is still waiting for a final "clause by clause" review this week. Even though Canada has become one of the world's largest spammers, there is still opposition to the bill since it will create difficulties for businesses conducting business online. We'll have to wait and see whether Canada will join the many other countries implementing stricter laws on email in order to prevent spam.
