I recently spoke to a friend of mine, who has a laptop. He told me he just caught a spyware program on his laptop. He said he rarely uses his laptop except when he is on the road. He did share a file with someone he met at a hotel. is it possible the spyware could have transferred to his laptop from another laptop? [br]

Spyware can get on a PC or even a laptop from many different directions. You don't just get spyware when downloading a program from the Internet. You can also get spyware from another computer. [br]All you have to do is simply either copy a file from another user's laptop, using a floppy disk, or you can use a Flash drive with a USB connection to copy files over. If the person has a burner CD player in his laptop, he could also burn a CD with a spyware program attached. So spyware programs can get to PCs in many different ways. If you do get spyware on your laptop, you will have to eliminate it. You can do so the same way you do with desktops. Run a spyware scanner and when one is found, the spyware eliminator will take the spyware away. [br][br]
