The Federal Government knows what everyone is going through and they want to stop it. They are in fact targets of it to. They have instituted many programs to curb spam use. They created the Can-Spam law and have also provided resources to help consumers deal with spam. They established a website where people can report spam if they wish. [br][br]The biggest way to fight spam is to create filters to catch the spam. The only problem is that most spammers know you will create filters, so they quickly set up other accounts and send the spam from those accounts as well. The only way around it is to provide filtering and file a complaint with the FTC (Federal Trade Commission), so they will know who is doing the spamming. This way they can investigate and hopefully shut down the company or person doing the scamming. [br][br] |
