I've been doing quite a lot of Job Searching on Craigslist, and found a lot of scams. The main one I have seen several times a day advertises itself in so many different ways. Then, I get an automated response telling me to go to some website and get my credit report. I already have my credit report myself. Any replies to the email get the same automated response, telling me to email someone else once I obtain my credit report. this scam is trying to get money from "affiliate marketing" techniques, because they get paid for each account opened from a particular site. OR they managed to make the site themselves, and are looking to score some identity information to steal your identity. I haven't found out which of the two this company is yet.
If you get an email from Roy Edgar Lovelace, I wouldn't even go near it. It's the same name that this email has been using for 3 weeks now. I've even sent an email to the address listed, telling them that if they are a legitimate company, having worked for a loan company before, they should have the tools necessary to run a credit check before the interview. I also know that most employers do not report to the credit bureau that you have worked there. It costs money. Out of 15 jobs I've had, only ONE has ever reported. And they neglected to mention that I have since left the company.
In short, do not be fooled by these companies looking to get your credit info from you. They are not legitimate, and never are. I should also mention that I have been able to link several unsolicited email attempts from third-party companies that I can link to replying to this "business" for employments opportunities.
