Anything that is online can be considered a scam. The reason is scammers know they can get away with it since they can hide behind a firewall and no one will ever no the wiser. Online dating is no different. When someone goes to an online dating website, and they register, they may be required to pay a fee. if they can register for free, this usually prevents them from putting up a profile or emailing people they meet. Or, they may receive pictures of potential dates, only to find the person does not look like the actual picture. [br][br]When online dating becomes a scam is when the user is promised to receive certain benefits or incentives, but once payment is made, the user usually receives nothing in return. [br][br]If you decide to try online dating, get everything in writing, and do not pay for anything until you check out the company and talk to references. If the company refuses to provide references, don't deal with them, unless the company is well known and reputable. [br][br]

yes, online dating are full of scam artists. i did a little research on several of the men that have contacted me. they always want your e-mail address and want to instant message you, i think this is how your PC gets infected with a virus. you can always tell they are not americans by the way they talk and write. it's pretty obvious. if you can get their IP address which is located in the e-mail and then go to urgentmessage.org, you can find out if they are for real. while on the dating site, they move real fast and talk real sweet and act like they are in love with you and then ask you for money. do not give out your phone#, e-mail address or any personal information until you do a little checking yourself. be careful, this is a form of terrioism. these scammers do not play, they are dangerous, so take every precaution you can before you totally get involved.this is serious business and a lot of people have lost their lives over this. they do not take lightly to no, you cannot have my money. Many Internet users are unaware that most anti-virus programs quickly become out of date as new and more sophisticated viruses enter the world of cyber-space everyday.

Anti-virus software must be consistently updated in order to remain effective. In some cases it is necessary to buy an entirely new program to help keep your computer virus free.

Most anti-virus programs allow you to update the original program by downloading the newest and most recent updates to their virus protection system. These updates can then provide protection for your computer against new strands of viruses waiting to infect your computer.
