Is online dating safe, or are there also online dating scams? [br]

You would think that online dating is safe. But there is a new scam online that goes after those who use online dating forums. The scam is perpetrated by a new class of bot or Internet robot, that goes into the online dating forum and mimics some flirtatious person, in order to get the person's private information. [br][br]CyberLover is one of the biggest programs online right now. It can automate its chat function so it can resemble that of a real person. The fact this program can establish up to 10 relationships at a time, all within 30 minutes. This means scammers can have a field day in finding victims. [br][br]Right now, CyberLover is going after Russian dating sites, but if the trend continues, they will be in other countries, including America. Always remember, that when you are involved in communication with anyone in a dating forum, never give out any personal information, whether it is financial, or otherwise, to anyone. [br][br]
