I just received an email telling me I just won the lottery. Is this a scam?[br]

The lottery scam is the biggest one going. The lottery scam begins by telling the user he/she won a large sum of money in a lottery. The receiver is told to keep it a secret and to contact a claims agent to verify the winning lottery. When the receiver contacts the claim agent, the agent tells the receiver to pay a processing or transfer fee of a certain amount. This way the winnings can be sent out. The problem with this arrangement is the receiver of the email never gets anything. [br][br]Remember that there is no such thing as an email draw or a lottery where no tickets are sold. The only way to win a lottery is by entering with a ticket, and hope that ticket has the winning numbers on it. Also, any time someone wins a lottery, there is never a processing fee involved. The lottery winner is simply contacted to verify their name and address, and a check is mailed to them. Any fees associated with the lottery is subtracted before the winnings are mailed. [br][br]
