It is unfortunate that the Internet has become a haven for scammers and spammers. Scammers believe they can send their emails out through the Internet, and perhaps one out of every 100 people will be naive enough to fall for the scam. And tihs is sometimes the case. [br][br]Usually the scammer or spammer will send email that promises something very enticing if the user responds to it. The only problem is that most of the time the information requested in personal information like their social security number, driver's license, or some other type of identification method. [br][br]The information is sent with nothing to show for it. However, in about three to four months later the person responding to the email, finds they have become a victim of identity theft. So yes, people can have their identities stolen by way of spam email. [br][br] |
