I understand placing a credit freeze on my credit report helps me. Is anyone still able to access my credit report with a credit freeze enabled, and if so who? [br]

Even if you place a credit freeze on your credit report, you can still gain access to your credit report. Companies that you do business with on a regular basis can also have access to your credit report. Also collection agencies that work for the companies you do business with also can have access to your credit report. Such companies that can have access include mortgage, credit card, and cell phone companies. You also may be able to still get pre-screened offers for credit cards. [br][br]Remember, this does not apply in every state. Some states have laws that don't allow anyone to gain access to your credit report, except you, if you have credit freeze in place. Make sure to check your state to see if such a law exist. [br]

I recently had to cancel my credit card with my bank because of fraudulant activities. I just got a notice in the mail that my order of shoes ($180.00) was not processed because the card did not go through. I did not order these shoes. I have here the name and address the shoes were to ship to. I would like to see this thief caught. Who do I give this info. to?

This is luchnry. You did not answer my question. I wil ask it again. Who do I give the name and address of the fraud person to so that this person can be investigated and dealt with to the full extent of the law?

A computer crash can occur at anytime and on any computer.

By backing up your files--personal documents, financial records, and digital pictures--you can ensure that you will never loose your precious and irreplaceable information.

There are many ways one can back up a computer: special equipment or online programs, which are becoming increasingly popular, can help you to create a sort of 'insurance policy' for the protection of all of your computer-based data.
