I know there are many types of backup systems in place for servers and individual PCs. But is there backup software created for another computer like the Mac? [br]

Backup software was originally created for networks utilizing a tape drive backup system. Eventually tape backup was created for PCs. This made it possible for networks and home users the ability to backup their data. [br][br]In recent years, Apple wanted to get involved in the backup market, so they got on the bandwagon and created software that was only compatible for Macs and Apple computers. The backup software they created was called iLife. This backup software allows for backup of any type of file whether it is data or executable files that  only run on Apple computers. [br][br]

Yet, while these users are well aware of the importance of the protection of their computer when hooked up to regular internet providers, they are often oblivious to the fact that the same cyber dangers, and in fact even more, exist in the world of WiFi.

What you may not know is that same Internet connection that makes it possible to check your email from the comfort of your bed also makes it easier for hackers to access your personal information.

It is for this reason, the sharing of the wireless Internet connection, that protecting your computer when wireless is even more important than ever before.
