I want to purchase a tape drive system. I found one that needs a special connector to attach to it. The box states I need a SCSI cable to attach to the tape drive. Do I need a SCSI card to install in my computer to work the tape drive, or can I just use my present IDE port like my hard drive is plugged into? [br]

If you are purchasing a SCSI enabled tape drive system, you will need a SCSI card to install in your PC. Without this SCSI card you will not be able to work your tape drive, since the SCSI cable is wider than your IDE connector is. [br][br]You can get SCSI cards cheap at many compute stores. They normally sell for around $29 for a simple card to around $129 for a more sophisticated card. If you only want the SCSI card to run your tape drive system, you can use a less costly version with no problems. [br][br]

Many Internet users are unaware that most anti-virus programs quickly become out of date as new and more sophisticated viruses enter the world of cyber-space everyday.

Anti-virus software must be consistently updated in order to remain effective. In some cases it is necessary to buy an entirely new program to help keep your computer virus free.

Most anti-virus programs allow you to update the original program by downloading the newest and most recent updates to their virus protection system. These updates can then provide protection for your computer against new strands of viruses waiting to infect your computer.
