How can a network, no matter how large, be kept safe from harm of adware programs? [br]

Everyday, one or more adware programs are released on the Internet. And many of these programs can cause serious harm to the computer. Therefore, it would be a matter of extreme importance for a company, no matter the size, that an inventory of all applications of each PC, on a network, is kept. This way the network administrator can keep tabs on whether anyone downloaded adware on their PC or not. [br][br]The network administrator would have to set up protocols and safety rules, to ensure that strict compliance is followed, no matter the user. By establishing rules to determine what applications are allowed to be used, and those that don't, this will help to keep shareware with the adware attached, off the PCs.
