There is a lot of talk about adware programs and how they affect PCs. What are some examples of adware programs that people should be aware of? [br]

Believe it or not, there are well over 800 adware and spyware programs that are on the Internet, and many of these are attached to shareware programs. You will find companies like Aureate, Cydoor, New.Net, and
gator have been known to attach adware with their programs. [br][br]If you do a search on Google or any other search engine for a list of adware programs, you will find them. This list gets larger everyday. Anti-adware program providers like Symantec or McAFee, constantly research these companies to find out what code they use, so an adware eliminator can be created. This is why downloading shareware programs can be bad news, especially if you aren't familiar with the company. [br]
