All-in-One Software: Bullguard

With all of the malicious viruses, worms and Trojans circulating around the web, it is very critical to keep your computer protected with the most efficient security software.  While the focus of protection mainly centers around anti-virus and anti-spyware solutions, the most comprehensive approach is a fully functioning all-in-one internet security suite.

Bullguard, a Danish company known for bundling products with various UK manufacturers, now sells security software directly from its own website.  The version 8 program comes with all the features you would expect from a quality anti-virus product, along with a few additional components.

Setup and Features

After installing Bullguard Internet Security 8, you will find the interface to be clean and well designed.  The interface contains buttons that offer easy access to the application's primary functions, enabling you to configure the program to your personal needs.  Since the default options are intelligently set, you probably will not need to make too many alterations.

The virus and spyware scanner is quick and rather sophisticated, able to scan well over 600,000 files in a little over thirty minutes.  Using very few system resources, you should be able to carry on a normal workload without performance issues.  The program receives daily updates to enhance scanning capability and sends notifications of when the process is complete.

Bullguard Internet Security 8 includes a high quality spam filter that is compatible with popular email clients such as Thunderbird, Outlook and Outlook Express.  The spam filter shares data with Bullguard clients and enables new threats to be easily detected and blocked by all users.  It is also rather efficient at block email phishing scams, but doesn't provide the same protection against fraudulent web sites.

Powerful protection with great benefits

The most notable upgrade to the Bullguard Internet Security 8 program is the online backup feature.  According to our research, this is the first time this kind of technology has been successfully integrated into an internet security suite.  Bullguard offers users up to 5 GB of free online storage space, shareable between three computers under the product license.  Additional space can be purchased on a per gigabyte/per year basis.

5 GB is plenty of storage space to backup online content ,such as your important documents, photos, music and so forth.  As an added bonus, Bullguard allows you to access your backup files from any computer with internet access directly from their secure site.

Another new feature found in Bullguard Internet Security 8 is live technical support with remote access.  Not only can your product concerns be addressed via email, but through a live chat session with a real-life support operator.  When problems become too hectic, you may then give the operator remote access to your computer to repair the issue directly.

Though still under the radar when compared to the more prominent anti-virus vendors, Bullguard is sure to turn a few heads with their Internet Security Suite 8.  This program is ideal for beginners and experienced users alike.  Bullguard's sophisticated technology is a great solution for maintaining the security of your system and blocking out any new threats that may come along.
